American Fashion

America is one of the leading countries of the world. As like the other sector fashion sector is also lead by America. The structure of total fashion business comprises of key players in European and US market and after that their subsidiaries or partners in other markets of the earth. The worldwide fashion industry can be partitioned in two parts, multinational players and domestic players. Through the increased globalization, more and more companies are entering the global fashion trade.Fashion industry of the world is more than $2 trillion. Only some established markets are France and United Kingdom, US, Italy and so on. Fashion business is also entering in UAE. The major fashion constituents of global fashion industry are hair styling, clothing, and footwear and so on. The international Islamic fashion trade is predictable to be of price more than $96 billion.Celebration of the commission of Fashion Designers of America 50th anniversary, The Museum at FIT hosts blows 50 Years of the CFDA. The display honors its more than 400 members, which consists of America’s foremost women swear, menswear, jewelry and accessories designers.
There are just about 100 garments and accessories presented that are thought to be the majority impact of the previous five decades. Founded in 1962 by publicist Eleanor Lambert and 20 leading American fashion designers of the period, the CFDA is currently lead by designer Diane von Furstenberg. The association has set forth to promote fashion design in the United States and helped make a platform to recognize the individual creative ability in the label dominated industry. In addition to behind talent, the CFDA also supports the fashion industry in other ways. For example, its collaboration with Vogue magazine titled, 7th on Sale, is a yearly sample sale to benefit New York City AIDS Fund; and its partnership with eBay, You Can’t Fake Fashion takes a position against counterfeiting.“Girl Model” comes on two months after The Council of Fashion Designers of America issued strategy in hopes of regulating age standards in the trade. The mission report on their Web site reads: “Support the well-being of younger individuals by not hiring models under the age of sixteen for runway shows; not allowing models under the age of eighteen to work past midnight at fittings or shoots; and providing regular breaks and rest.” Still, it is a designer’s option what model he or she uses. Throughout New York Fashion Week in February, Eric Wilson reported that Marc Jacobs hired a 14- and 15-year-old for his fall 2012 runway show.At the screening were representatives from Models Alliance, an advocacy group that aims to create better working conditions for models. Ms. Sabin said she hopes that organizations can use the film as a tool to create regulation, “or at least have a conversation about why there is such a lack of transparency in a marketplace that is predominantly young women.” The Muslim population of on globe is more than 1 billion. The current Arabic population is very much modern than the traditional one.
AMERICAN FABULOUS DRESS

The youthful generation is found of wearing recent clothes and attires. Even talking about the usual clothing, the nation has shown new period of fashion in Arabic clothing too. This is evidenced by Arabic fashion week and lots of Arabic attire launch by most of the big brands present round the globe. Thus market for Islamic fashion industry is huge in the world. The western fashion industry is also great and is preexisting in most countries of Europe and North America. This big player includes European countries mainly.“America was built on what America has built. So, I think it’s really sad that our manufacturing resources in New York’s garment district are no longer of convenience. Everything is practically invisible now. They’ve forced everybody out! If Americans start supporting more US made products it would bring back jobs and put a lot of food on a lot of American people’s tables. Ya know, I’m really not very political, though I do make sure I go out to vote. And I do believe in President Obama’s efforts”.Mr. Says literally has a patriotic frame of mind, as displayed by the leggy models that cascade onto the runway. Each model steps through a ten foot silver frame before presenting garments that reflect old glory. Small collection of red, white and blue dresses complete with stars and stripes open the Douglas Says presentation.”I’m patriotic about my country and I was inspired by President Barack Obama’s comments during his State of the Union Address. Obama said, “We need to out innovate, out educate and out build the rest of the world”. Our President is demanding a tall order from us all. So I’ve adopted the “Made in America” mission as my mission. My humble beginnings started in the African-American community where fashion and accessories have always been iconic products. So, what is a better chance for fashion enthusiast to communicate American patriotism than to wear our colors with fashions made in America?
AMERICAN BEAUTY

Fashion in industry in any country on the globe is very competitive. The threat of new entrant varies with country to country. European market is saturated one with less chance of new entrants. UAE is a new market and most of the players in the company are not more than 5-6 years old. On an average, the per capita earnings of people on world has increased to a important extant.
Due to high latent in the business and high per capita profits, the global fashion industry is attracting more and more players with it rapid development. Thus, the risk of new entrant is high. 2012 is a year steeped with political rhetoric. Politicians are claiming this, declaring that, blaming each other while requesting more from us. Yet underneath all the fuss is just us. Your every day Americans… who are waiting on a political promise of more jobs that are made in America. Well, one soft-spoken American expressed without words, a vision to do something about it! Designer Douglas Says presented his Fall 2012 fashions with his opening theme displaying patriotic fashions.  In the spirit of Old Glory, Fashion Designer Douglas Says… FASHIONS MADE IN AMERICA! Among the designers featured in the exhibition include Geoffrey Beene, Bill Blass, Thom Browne, Tom Ford, Diane von Furstenberg, James Galanos, Marc Jacobs, Norma Kamali, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Traina-Norell, Oscar de la Renta, Proenza Schouler and Isabel Toledo, to name a few. The exhibit is separated into two rooms in the lower level of the museum, which clearly delineates a contrast in format. A dimly lit entrance focuses on accessories and technology.  From hats, purses to iPads, the history of the CFDA is presented with an interactive timeline, slideshow and A-Z designer directory. In the main room, which is extra gallery-like in feel, is organized thematically to showcase the wide range of American originality.
With a floor to ceiling show of the top looks of our occasion. The outfitted mannequins are installed in a grid-like range of functional sportswear, couture-like evening wear to simple dresses. Also on view is the embroidered silk dress worn by Michelle Obama on election night 2008 from Narciso Rodriguez’s Spring 2009 collection. this was fabric that literally sat in the fabric store window for years. I purchased it for another purpose, to use as muslin. Then I had the idea of creating a couple of junior pieces with it and call it “The President’s Wife” to use in a pictorial photo series. I traditionally create with jersey knit, not cotton. I use jersey knits to create stylish fashions for the everyday woman. Jersey knits are luxurious as it barely grazes your curves. One secret I’ll offer about jersey knit garments is that it works fabulous as a travel collection because it’s practically wrinkle free. It’s an American made fabric that is known for its comfort and fit. Most Designers find it difficult to work with, but I’m right at home with jersey knit fabric. I also design for full-figured women and I’ve titled that collection “Plus-U”. One of my goals is to try to remove old taboos about stretch fabrics like jersey knits. There is a notion that knits are unkind to full-figured body types. Similar to everything else, the fabric just has to be tradition cut with your body in mind! I’m totally aware that actual women have curves.
AMERICAN MODEL

We Designers need to admit that fact and lend a helping offer in complimenting those curves. It’s unnecessary to hide from view, deny or flat out ignore your figure! So I’m finally intelligent to answer those calls… which have become full shout-outs! As a Designer I can’t pretend not to hear or see customer’s request for stylish plus size fashions. I’m always educating myself about my customer’s need, as well as learning what possible innovations I can apply using US made fabrics to meet these needs. These women can enjoy quality and style that’s American made”! Explains Says. Fashion designer Douglas Says is presenting women with two gifts; his patriotic flair, and his signature style… without compromising comfort. All found in a product-line that’s made in American.Local retail outlets 27th Century Boutique and Marion’s Fashions presented stock showcases on either side of the Regina Q collection, which gave the event a bit of an amateur feel. The clothes were fine, and the models were good, but the idea of an international fashion excursion kind of makes boutique stock showcases passé. Perhaps these were added late to accommodate the unmentioned no-show of Theo Sealy from the Bahamas. In any event, the hype surrounding this show was deflated considerably by the community centre style shop showcases. The next actual designer to show was Bermuda’s own Shay Ford. Shay presented a small but cute collection of summer wear that was clearly inspired by the eccentricities of a Bermuda summer. Print swim trunks, gregarious drawstring skirts and bright, glossy prints dominated this sunny modest collection, giving the pint-sized limited designer a decidedly imposing seminal showing.
The final and biggest collection to show was from the New York City-based designer Thomas Lavonne. Guest model Kamela, from the Bahamas, stole the show in a dazzling silver sparkling gown during this portion of the reveal. Other standout designs included a red ‘leaf’ dress, various sequined delights, and a plethora of flowing print dresses in bold colors with subtle, nuanced cuts. The consumer's opinion now a day's on major countries changes with very rapidly with the advancement in technology and reduction of informational distances. Any new technological innovation leads to launch of new company coming out with new products and thus increasing the extent of the competition. (Over 160 top international fashion brands to showcase at Prestige)It is not that only clothing industry has good number of competitors or has risk of new entrants, talking about hair stylists, in past 5 years, the international community would have witnessed a great number of new brands in this industry too. One more trend in international fashion business which makes it more attractive for new players is the development of international Arabic fashion business.
The Muslim people in countries like UK and France is key driver of this fashion hemisphere. at present what is becoming fashionable is that international brands are opening their manufacturing stores in a single nation targeting not just the domestic market but also international market for sales. This has resulted in greater scope in the industry and hence more chances of new entrant in the industry. resurfaced as the boss of a modelling agency. As well as heading Vexus Models, Kells is a former designer for Italian fashion label Versace – or he would be if he were real. Vexus was registered as a business in New South Wales on January 31 by Brenton Jarrett. On March 19, ownership of the business was transferred, official documents show, to Ernest Brian Hitchcock. The relationship between the Jarrett and Hitchcock names is a strong one. In March 2010, The Age reported that Brenton Jarrett, whose list of convictions stretches back to the 1990s, had surfaced as”Joshua Hitchcock”. Professing to be the grandson of film director Alfred Hitchcock, Joshua claimed he was about to launch film and television production company Hitchcock Media International with a Melbourne-based remake of the US sitcom Cheers. Except the Cheers remake, HMI and Joshua Hitchcock were all fabrication. The services of the fashion industry comprise of clothing and attires, shoes and make-up goods. These things are never stable and keep on changing with time and changing client preferences.
The clothing style which is popular nowadays may not be the same tomorrow and thus all the companies in fashion business need to be practical sufficient in terms of investment in a particular product. This exacting force of marketing can be understood by the instance of Indian fashion industry. Previously, the Indian culture allowed only some types of cloths for the people, like Khadi cloths. With the growth of financial system and more money in hands of the people, the spending wish and better life style demand give possibility to overall players to enter in the industry and now the nation host most of the total brands like M&S, Koton, Levis, Sun silk, etc. This international fashion not only presented a full set of new variety for the people but also outperformed the pre-existing fashion trends on the world. The similar scenario is always a part of fashion industry which never facilitates a single kind or style. A better always outperformed the obtainable. This highlights the risk of new substitute in the worldwide fashion sector.
